Title
-
Network Intrusion Detection System
-
Goal
-
-
Description
- Students design and build a system that analyzes network traffic to identify signs of malicious activity, combining more than one detection strategy so that both previously known attack patterns and unusual, unclassified behavior can be flagged. Students should source or generate appropriate traffic data, define how detections are evaluated, and pay particular attention to the trade-off between catching real threats and generating false alerts. Findings should be presented through an interface that clearly shows what was flagged, why, and with what confidence.
