Title
-
Kazakh Braille Input for Touchscreen Devices
-
Goal
-
The project aims to design and implement a Kazakh Braille input system for touchscreen devices. By mapping multi-touch gestures into Braille dot patterns, users will be able to input Kazakh Braille directly on smartphones.
-
Description
- For Aktobe Students Only
This thesis will develop a mobile keyboard application that enables Braille input in Kazakh. Multi-touch coordinates will represent Braille dots, allowing combinations to form letters, including Kazakh-specific characters. The project will explore gesture recognition algorithms alongside with interface design, and integration with existing apps. Beyond accessibility, the project highlights Braille’s potential as a universal/alternative symbolic input system.
