Title
Smart Fire Safety Inspection and Building Risk Assessment System for Connected Smart Aktobe
Goal
To design, develop, and evaluate a software platform that supports building fire-safety inspections, identifies potential fire risks, and assists municipal authorities in prioritizing preventive actions.
Description
Fire safety in public buildings, educational institutions, residential facilities, commercial properties, and industrial premises requires regular inspections and accurate maintenance records. Manual inspection processes may result in incomplete documentation, delayed follow-up actions, and difficulties in identifying buildings that require urgent attention. This project will investigate the development of a smart fire-safety inspection and building risk assessment system for Connected Smart Aktobe. The platform will maintain records of buildings, occupancy type, number of floors, emergency exits, fire extinguishers, alarm systems, inspection dates, identified violations, and corrective actions. Inspectors will be able to use a web or mobile-friendly interface to record inspection results, upload evidence, assign risk levels, and generate inspection reports. A risk assessment component will analyse factors such as building usage, occupancy, inspection history, safety-equipment availability, blocked exits, and unresolved violations. The system will provide an administrative dashboard showing building locations, inspection status, risk categories, overdue inspections, and corrective-action progress. It may also include automated reminders and a work-order module for assigning follow-up tasks to responsible departments. From a Software Engineering perspective, the project will cover requirements elicitation, stakeholder analysis, use-case modelling, database design, software architecture, role-based access control, API development, user-interface design, testing, and deployment. Evaluation will consider risk-assessment consistency, report-generation time, usability, data integrity, security, scalability, and maintainability. The platform will serve as a decision-support and inspection-management prototype. It will not replace certified fire-safety inspections, official building codes, or emergency-response authorities.
