Description
- Social robots have recently been designed and deployed to support wellbeing through interactions such as coaching and emotional support. For such robots to successfully support wellbeing, they need to be carefully designed to meet user needs in their specific context. This project aims to explore how a zoomorphic (i.e., a robot with an animal-like in form factor) robot could support user wellbeing in a home setting. The project will involve designing and developing wellbeing-support behaviours for the zoomorphic Miro-robot, testing them at the Robotarium’s home laboratory, and evaluating the resulting robot with users. The outcome of this project will be a zoomorphic robot implementation which supports wellbeing in the home.
