Title
Procedural growth methods for generating plants or corals
Goal
Investigate and implement procedural growth approaches for modelling plants or corals
Description
There are multiple approaches to procedurally generate 3D models to represent organisms such as plants or corals: L-Systems, differential growth, Laplacian growth, space colonisation algorithm, reaction-diffusion processes, etc. Your task is to focus on one and be able to procedurally generate geometric models of some representative species, that can be used in 3D modelling applications like Blender. This project focusses on software development and you can utilise GPU programming to potentially accelerate part of the process.
