Title
AI Knowledge Assistant for an Organisation
Goal
Help people quickly find accurate answers from a large set of documents
Description
Students will design and produce a software system that works like a smart search assistant for an organisation. Users will be able to ask questions, and the system will search approved documents, find relevant information, and return clear answers with references to the original sources. The project could use university handbooks, company policies, technical manuals, research papers, or support documents. Students should also evaluate the software with real or representative users, such as students, staff, administrators, or support teams. They can test whether users find answers faster, whether the answers are accurate, and whether the references increase trust. Based on the evaluation, students should produce recommendations on how the system could be improved, deployed safely, and used responsibly.

Background
Many organisations have useful information spread across PDFs, websites, manuals, and internal files. Staff or students often waste time searching manually. This project shows how AI can make knowledge easier to access while still keeping answers trustworthy.
