Title
Design and Implementation of a 3D Multi-User Immersive Version of a Traditional Kazakh Game
Goal
Description
Traditional Kazakh games form an important part of the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan and they reflect the historical, social and recreational traditions of Kazakhstan. However, the majority of traditional games are inherently physical in nature and their modern online adaptations are very limited. This project aims to explore how a traditional Kazakh game can be transformed into an engaging and interactive multi-user digital experience. It will investigate various aspects of digital games played over networked environments such as game mechanics, user interaction, virtual representation, real-time synchronization and communication between players. The system should preserve the essential characteristics and rules of the selected traditional game while adapting its interaction model for the development of a 3D immersive online multiplayer game environment. The project will demonstrate how modern game and networking technologies can be used to bring a selected traditional Kazakh game into an immersive online environment while retaining its cultural and gameplay identity. It requires the development of a functional prototype of the selected game which is then evaluated in terms of different parameters such as functionality, synchronization, responsiveness, usability, player engagement and the extent to which the digital implementation represents the essential rules and characteristics of the original traditional game.
