Title
-
A Comparative study of ROS Middleware (RMW) interfaces
-
Goal
-
Undertake an in-depth comparative study of network middleware for communication in robotics
-
Description
- ROS 2 (Robot Operating System 2) is an open-source framework providing a set of software libraries and tools for building robot applications.
In robotics stable, dependable communication is critical.
ROS2 supports multiple network middleware implementation architectures such as DDS and Zenoh middleware.
Through an in-depth comparative study, the aim of this project is to develop teaching materials that provide an understanding of the different implementations and the many factors you might consider when choosing the right one to use for your robot development, high-lighting their comparative strengths and limitations.
