Title
Developing 3D models using photogrammetry
Goal
The aim is to develop 3D digital models from photographs using specialised software and programming libraries.
Description
The aim of this project is to investigate how photographs can be used to create 3D models of real-world objects and environments. It will introduce students to practical applications of photogrammetry and 3D reconstruction in areas such as digital modelling, cultural heritage, architecture, engineering, and virtual environments. Students will capture photographs from different viewpoints and process them using photogrammetry tools and programming libraries. The project will explore the key stages of transforming 2D photographs into digital 3D representations, allowing students to experiment with different objects or environments and approaches to generating, viewing, and manipulating 3D models.
