Description
- Students will design and produce a secure software platform that allows users to manage health data collected from wearable devices such as smartwatches, fitness bands, or health-tracking apps. The system could handle data such as heart rate, step count, sleep patterns, activity levels, calories burned, or exercise sessions.
The platform should help users understand their own health data through clear charts, summaries, and trends. It should also allow users to control what information is stored, who can access it, and whether selected data can be shared with a doctor, coach, carer, or researcher.
The project should include features such as user accounts, permission settings, data encryption, consent-based sharing, and access history. Students should evaluate the platform with users to understand whether it feels trustworthy, easy to use, and useful for monitoring personal health. The evaluation should lead to recommendations on improving privacy, usability, security, data accuracy, and responsible use of wearable health data.
