Description
- Academic credentials such as certificates, diplomas, and transcripts are traditionally managed by centralized institutions. While effective, these systems often require manual verification processes and may be vulnerable to forgery or delays in credential validation.
This project aims to develop a decentralized academic credential management system using verifiable credentials and distributed ledger technologies. The system will enable educational institutions to issue digital credentials, students to manage their credentials, and third parties such as employers to verify their authenticity without relying on a centralized verification process.
The project will investigate how distributed ledger platforms can improve trust, transparency, and efficiency in credential management. A prototype will be developed and evaluated based on functionality, usability, verification efficiency, and scalability.
