Title
Optimal Watering for Your Garden
Goal
Design and implement an efficient watering system for your garden.
Description
Efficiently watering a garden requires balancing the needs of different plants with limited resources such as water, time, and available irrigation capacity. This thesis will investigate how computational methods can be used to determine an optimal watering strategy based on factors such as plant type, soil conditions, weather forecasts, and water availability. The student will develop a mathematical model of the watering problem and implement an algorithm or software tool for generating efficient watering schedules. Depending on the chosen approach, the project may involve optimisation, data analysis, simulation, and/or machine learning. The resulting system will be evaluated using realistic or simulated garden scenarios, with the aim of reducing water consumption while maintaining adequate conditions for plant growth.
