Title
-
Visualisation-based Graph-DB Comparison
-
Goal
-
To explore visualisation as a means to identify differences between similar graph databases.
-
Description
- As part of an ongoing research project we model human gut anatomy in the form of a graph database, Neo4j. Other research groups have created similar databases and it is important to be able to systematically identify and understand the variations between two different data sets over the same domain. Similarly, an existing database will evolve over time due to addition/deletion/modification of data elements. Here it is important to be able to systematically identify the differences between different versions of the same database.
To achieve this, you will use visualisation techniques that can be applied in Neo4j, for example their Bloom tools, to make it easy for an end user to identify and understand variations in the underlying databases.
